The Volunteers for Muslim Youth Empowerment and Development (VOMYED) is a registered nonprofit, non-governmental, non-political, non-sectoral and non-ethnic organisation dedicated to the holistic empowerment and development of the Muslim youth and their communities.
We are established with a clear purpose and intention to use our skills, knowledge, time, ideas and resources to seek the pleasure of Allah and advance the wellbeing and welfare of humanity.
We are in the business of transforming lives of young Muslims across Ghana with global impact. Over the past 12 years, we have empowered over 5000 young people majority whom are now leading positive change in various fields globally. The Ghana Muslim Youth Camp is an annual event organized by Volunteers for Muslim Youth Empowerment and Development (VOMYED) aimed at empowering and developing Muslim youth in Ghana, focusing on education, career development, faith, and community integration. Campers go through a weeklong camp packed with vocational skills training, counseling, lectures on various topics, and events focused on education, career development, tourism, faith development, and emotional and intellectual empowerment.
